In addition, crocodile and python create sophisticated
Gucci introduced the Gucci 1970 bag, a new signature of the glamour and single elegance that characterize Creative Director Frida Giannini's Spring Summer 2012 collection – with the sparkle of the roaring years and the video charm of Art Déco.
The name Gucci 1970 is inspired by the year when for the first time metal corners appeared on the House's accessories – distinct the design of this new must-have. Taking its cue from the House's archive, the bag is a modern model of a historic style. This year is very important becomes large and ultra soft, in traditional leathers such as nabuk calfskin and nappa, and in precious cases such as shiny crocodile and lustrous hand-painted python.
The colour pallette can be as luxurious as the materials: emerald green green, black, natural beige tones, white and hot chocolate. In addition, crocodile and python create sophisticated chromatic intensities with their exotic textures.
Iconic details in brass hardware embellish minimal lines. Corners are rigid, finished and etched with the Gucci logo, and gem tassels are homemade in tiny metal chains and applied to the band – to swing like the edge on the dresses from the catwalk.
The handle links the highly crafted metal archipelago to the leather, enabling a practical model which is comfortable to carry.
Emblematic of the endless balance between tradition and innovation, the Gucci 1970 bag comes in both maxi and medium sizes and is versatile and multi-functional – for an accessory that is elegant, luxurious yet very discreet, perfect from day to evening.
