Driving forward research into the use of titanium in jewellery

September bursts with activity for Mattia Cielo, the high jewellery brand that is the main Vicenza-based group Cielo Venezia 1270.

Mattia Cielo will take part in the About J luxury event from 5-8 September at Cortina d'Ampezzo and, over the following four days, the fall edition of the VicenzaOro trade fair from 8-12 September.

Mattia Cielo's collections, an unmistakable mix of engineering and state-of-the-art materials, have since the birth of the brand in 2006, sought to open a new way forward for high jewellery, pursuing a route of continuous experimentation with new materials and applications of technological processes.

The "Rugiada (Dew)" collection, showcased at the two shows, will feature the colours of tourmalines and iridescent shades of pearls, driving forward research into the use of titanium in jewellery, after versions in gold and white diamonds presented in 2011.

The result: new projects synthesising technology and jewellery in which easy fold, elegance and light blend in thin strip in a special titanium alloy, with an excellent "memory for shape" – that is, the ability to go back to its original form.

"Our jewellery project has the goal to revive an artistic and cultural value to precious objects, but in a contemporary way, inch said founder Mattia Cielo.

"We merge creativity, research and experimentation to determine gems famous by their innovative soul. Our customers urge us to manufacture a brand distinctive for its well-researched and unique taste, setting it apart from a typical status symbol.
