Parmigiani Fleurier has unveiled two new limited-edition wristwatches inspired by antique pocketwatches from a collection owned by Parmigiani Fleurier's parent best tag heuer replica watches, the Sandoz Foundation. Each wristwatches are part of Parmigiani's Toric collection. Discover pictures, costs and wallpaper inside.
The pocketwatches that inspired the new wristwatches are on view in New York in the well-known vintage-jewelry and Russian-art gallery A La Vielle Russie. They're portion of an exhibit known as Cartier Ballon Bleu Watches "Mechanical Wonders," featuring 50 pieces from the Sandoz Collection, and running via Nov. 26. Watch lovers will probably be familiar with many of the items due to the fact they are generally on view in the famous Musee d'Horlogerie in Le Locle, Switzerland.
The initial new wristwatch has unusual telescopic hands that get longer or shorter as they rotate around the Replica Rolex Mens Watch oval dial. It was modeled on a pocketwatch from the early 19th century, also oval, with comparable hands. The new watch is $95,000. There will likely be 30 pieces in rose gold and 30 in white gold.
The other new watch can be a minute repeater with a serpentine cathedral chime that shows the time by means of an arc-shaped aperture on the upper half of the watch face. The numeral designating the hour traverses the arc, moving along a 60-minute scale as it does so. The watch was modeled on an engraved, minute-repeater pocketwatch produced sometime between 1800 and 1840.
